Mother’s tomato soup. Recipes.

Ingredients Mother´s tomato soup:

-1/4 cup minced onion.

-3 Tablespoon butter.

-4 cup cooked tomatoes.

-1/2 tearspoon baking soda.

– 4 cup milk.

-1/2 cup cream.

-1 bay leaf.

-1 Tablespoon chopped parsley.

Recipe’s Proceedings Mother’s Tomato soup:

-Brown onion in butter in  3-quart pan.

-Add tomatoes and mash well.

-Heat but do not boil.

-Add milk and soda at the same time( this will cause the soup to foam)

-Add cream , bay leaf, salt, pepper and parsley.

-Heat  again till very hot, but do not boil.

-May be served as is , or put through a sieve. If a thicker soup is desired, add 1 tables poon flour to cream before adding to tomatoes.
